The son of a top film exec whose company distributed the Oscar-winner “The King’s Speech” was arrested yesterday for setting a fire at a Brooklyn public-school playground, sources said.
Max Layton, 16, who attends a prestigious private school in Brooklyn Heights, surrendered along with three pals to a fire marshal at a prearranged meeting.
Layton’s dad, Charles, is president of Canadian-based Alliance Films.
Three other juveniles were also arrested, an FDNY source said.
On May 8, they allegedly doused the jungle gym outside PS 29 on Henry Street in Cobble Hill with alcohol and set a fire.
