Another batty Gore-ism: Babies are bad for earth

THE ISSUE: Al Gore’s promotion of population control as a means of curbing global warming.

***

Al Gore now wants to blame “global warming” on human population (“Al Gore’s Next Crusade: In Your Bed,” PostOpinion, Michael A. Walsh, June 28).

Gore should first look at himself, as he is one of the biggest sources of hot air every time he opens his mouth.

On the positive side, if we do reduce the population, there will be less people looking for work.

Gore should concentrate on job growth — if people are working, they will have less time, and will be too tired to make babies.

Tell Michael Walsh not to worry about Gore’s hypocrisy.

By purposely not having any children, I calculate that over three generations, I will pollute and deplete resources at 1/20th the rate of a person with kids, so it cancels out.

When Gore railed against global warming, I questioned his intelligence for not focusing on the core issue, overpopulation.

I know that mainstreamers like Walsh don’t worry about the disappearing water tables, continent-sized flotillas of plastic bottles over dead seas, the disappearance of most fish, deforestation and the already millions of people dying or in misery from lack of potable water and food.

He would probably say it is all a mirage . . . or a political problem.
