Though there are several high-profile managing jobs available, don’t expect Joe Torre to get one.
Torre told ESPN.com Tuesday he has not been approached by the Red Sox, Cardinals or Cubs, and wouldn’t be interested if he was.
“Nobody’s made a call to me to ask me to manage,” said Torre, now an MLB executive said. “When I’m talking to people about other things, they may want to know if I’m still interested. I’m really not. Well, let’s put it this way, I’m not. Because I don’t want that to be misconstrued. I like what I’m doing.”
Torre also told the website he thinks it will be hard for Yankees DH Jorge Posada to play somewhere else.
