Cops bust dad of SI tot shot in face after finding hidden drug stash

The drug-dealing dad of a 2-year-old Staten Island girl who lost an eye to gunfire in September was busted after cops spotted a suspicious bulge in his pants over the weekend, police sources said.

It turned out to be 66 baggies of crack and cocaine strapped to his genitals with a rubber band, the sources said.

“I do what I have to make money and survive,” dad Michael Bailey, 28, allegedly told cops.

Bailey is the father of toddler Samyah Bailey, who lost her left eye after a gunman targeted her dad and uncle Sept. 14 as they sat in the courtyard of a Mariners Harbor apartment complex.

The 1998 Nissan Maxima that Bailey and Samyah’s mother, Stephanie Mahoney, 22, were caught in with the drugs Saturday afternoon is the same vehicle that family members used to rush Samyah to Richmond University Hospital when she was shot.

Cops had pulled the parents over for erratic driving Saturday over not far from where the shooting occurred, sources said.

Bailey, who was driving, initially refused to open the door, but once he did, cops got a strong whiff of weed emanating from the sedan, they said.

As Bailey stepped out of the vehicle, a baggie of marijuana allegedly fell from his lap onto the ground.

Bailey and Mahoney were taken to the 120th Precinct station house in St. George, where they were searched, sources said.

While being patted down, cops allegedly noticed a peculiar bulge in Bailey’s pants.

They then found 55 bags of crack cocaine and 11 bags of coke stuffed in a large plastic bag and attached to Bailey’s penis with a rubberband, sources said.

Bailey, who served time in prison for attempted burglary, was arrested and charged with drug possession.

Mahoney was freed, sources said.

The gunman who allegedly shot Samyah, Damark King, 19, has been charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment.
