Boys basketball roundup: Carrington leads Loughlin over LuHi

Bishop Loughlin picked up a signature win.

Khadeen Carrington scored 22 points, Elisha Boone added 19 points and Michael Williams followed with 11 for Loughlin in a 63-59 win over defending state Federation Class A champion Long Island Lutheran in non-league boys basketball Thursday in Brookville, L.I.

Loughlin (11-12) meets Archbishop Molloy in the CHSAA Brooklyn/Queens quarterfinals Monday at Xaverian HS.

Tim Quashie had 12 points and Brandon Alford and Kentan Facey each had 11 for LuHi (17-5).

Holy Cross 68, Fordham Prep 32: Marquise Moore scored 16 points and Osaze Chase-Small had 13 points to lead Holy Cross (20-4). Anthony Libroia and Will Davis each had 12 points. Fordham Prep falls to 6-16.

Cardozo 59, Wadleigh 55: Edwin Sainvil had 11 points, Kendall Brown added 10 and Tajay Henry chipped in nine points and 10 rebounds for Cardozo (22-6). Louis Costen paced Wadleigh (21-6) with 15 points.

St. Edmund Prep 71, Goldstein 61: Matt O’Neill had 25 points and five 3-pointers, Chris Tsatsis had 17 points and Nick Grasso had 15 points for St. Edmund (18-6) in non-league. Jacob Berardi had 24 points for Goldstein (15-4).

ISAL

York Prep 47, Churchill 33: Shane Richards and Luke Cohen each scored 16 points and Elie Maymiye added 12 for York Prep (13-5) in the ISAL championship game.
