In fear of the Soho hobo

Frightened Soho residents are hoping a homeless madman who has attacked and harassed people for years along posh Spring Street finally stays behind bars.

Richard Pearson, 48, has been arrested 21 times over the past 30 years — but keeps appearing in the neighborhood despite his endless legal run-ins and being declared mentally unstable

Pearson was recently nabbed, however, on May 22, for allegedly throwing a brick at a local store owner and was charged with assault. Now, residents say they want him put away for good.

“This man has been a predator in my neighborhood,” said concerned resident Christina Nenov. “He cannot control himself. He may return to our streets at any moment.”

Pearson is due back in court on June 25.
