LI teen killed in pal’s car wreck

A teen was killed and two others injured early yesterday on Long Island when the car’s unlicensed driver lost control, slammed into a tree and flipped over, cops said.

David Longford, 17, was driving with three passengers in a 2002 Toyota on Gray Avenue in Medford at 1:20 a.m. when he crashed, ejecting David Ross, 16, from the car. Ross, of Middle Island, was pronounced dead at Brookhaven Medical Center.

“I didn’t think anyone would be able to walk away from that. The car flipped over,” said neighbor Nemie Summauth, 23, who was awoken by the impact of the crash. “I went outside, one of them was screaming, ‘I can’t feel my arm,’ ” Summauth said.

Her mom, Savi Sudeem, 50, works at a nursing home with the dead boy’s aunt.

“This is very tragic, they’re young kids,” Sudeem said. “The family is devastated.”

Longford and the other injured boy were treated for minor injuries. The fourth boy was unhurt. Longford was given a summons for driving without a license.
