A retired federal agent fired at two burglars when he returned to his Queens home and found the men inside, sources said.
The retired Department of Homeland Security agent opened fire at around 2:30 p.m. yesterday when he realized the men had burglarized his Somerset Street home in Jamaica Estates, sources said.
The thieves fled and it is unknown if they removed any property, sources said.
Police are still investigating.
