Chipper Jones was on the Braves when their dominant staff was led by Greg Maddux, John Smoltz and Tom Glavine.
Perhaps Jones sees the Mets being able to replicate their success after Matt Harvey and Zack Wheeler shut down the Braves in a doubleheader Tuesday. The recently retired third baseman auded the Mets young starters on Twitter.
Boy I'm glad I retired! Would not wanna face Harvey and Wheeler 5 or 6 times a year for the next 10yrs. Those boys were electric yesterday!
