WATCH: Escaped bull wrestled by pedestrians in Malaga, Spain

A runaway bull has been wrestled to the ground in the streets of Malaga, Spain, following a surprise urban rampage that left cars damaged and pedestrians injured.

The incident, which was captured on video by passers-by, occurred after the 200kg animal escaped in transit through the southern port city on Monday, according to regional newspaper Diario Sur.

One dramatic clip, uploaded to YouTube, shows the bull charging at a car and attacking a pedestrian – who happened to be dressed in red – before being wrangled to the ground by a group of men.

The animal reportedly rammed two vehicles and injured two people during the ordeal.

Witnesses expressed relief that the incident occurred at a time when children from a nearby school were not in the area.
