A New Jersey man caught on a nanny cam brutally beating a woman was arrested last night in Manhattan, authorities said.
Shawn Custis, 42, of Newark, was charged with attempted murder, burglary and child endangerment in last week’s assault in Milburn, cops said.
Custis busted into the woman’s home and repeatedly beat her in front of her 3-year-old daughter, then burglarized the house as her 18-month-old son slept upstairs, cops said.
The victim — whose name was not released — suffered a concussion, facial swelling and chipped teeth.
The shocking video of the crime went viral, and the community helped raise $20,000 as a reward for the suspect’s capture.
His bail was set at $750,000 during his first appearance in Essex County Superior Court.
