Nokia calling

Nokia will unveil a new smartphone for its Lumia line today, said people familiar with the matter. The device will be priced at less than $330 and will have a 4.7-inch screen.

Apple peels

Apple’s latest quarterly results, due out after the market closes today, are expected to show that it is making less money as more customers buy its lower-priced iPhones and iPads instead of the top-of-the-line models.

UBS surge
