Tris and Four are coming for you — at least, that’s how it appears in newly released 3-D posters for the upcoming “Divergent” sequel, “Insurgent.”
Starring Shailene Woodley and Theo James, the second film in the dystopian franchise isn’t set to hit theaters until March 2015 — but Lionsgate is already hard at work promoting the highly anticipated flick.
On Tuesday, as part of an online scavenger hunt tied into the announcement that the movie will open in both 2-D and 3-D, the studio unveiled eight interactive character posters featuring the main players of “Insurgent.” In addition to Tris (Woodley) and Four (James), fans can also catch glimpses of Caleb (Ansel Elgort), Christina (Zoë Kravitz) and the villainous Peter (Miles Teller) among others.
Based on the best-selling novel by Veronica Roth, “Insurgent” focuses on the tensions brewing among Tris’ faction-based society. With Erudite leader Jeanine Matthews (Kate Winslet) still at the helm, it’s up to Tris to put an end to her treacherous reign, all the while working to uncover the hidden truths that Jeanine has been keeping and refuses to reveal.
