Baseball superstar David Cone and fiancée, Taja Abitbol, are in contract to buy a four-bedroom, 4½-bathroom unit at the five-building Greenwich Lane project.
Cone, a YES Network commentator who boasts five World Series rings, is the latest high-profile name to buy in the eco-chic complex, where, as we previously reported, Michael Kors snagged a penthouse.
Cone is currently renting a SoHo Mews townhouse that was asking $25,000 a month from Russian actress Elena Zakharova.
Cone’s apartment, at 160 W. 12th St., was listed at $7.97 million and sports beamed ceilings, a chef’s kitchen and a private balcony.
The former Yankees and Mets pitcher is also in contract to sell his four-bedroom, three-plus-bathroom, 2,350-square-foot unit at the Lucida, at 151 E. 85th St. He bought the condo for $3.76 million in 2011; it was on the market for $6.49 million.
