Sweet ’16: CBS renews ‘Mom,’ Mike & Molly’ and ‘2 Broke Girls’

CBS has renewed “Mom,” “Mike & Molly” and “2 Broke Girls,” keeping the three comedies on the schedule for the 2015-16 season.

“Mom” — starring Anna Faris and Allison Janney — has seen a ratings bump in its second season, up 42 percent to average 11.9 million viewers in its move to Thursdays.

The Melissa McCarthy starrer “Mike & Molly,” which is averaging 10.4 million viewers, will return for a sixth season and “2 Broke Girls” (9.6 million viewers) enters its fifth season. Both Monday night comedies have improved their time periods this year.
