Road raging man with machete attacks fellow motorist

Some people honk horns, others whip out machetes.

A Brooklyn man with road rage slashed the side of another man’s car inside the Holland Tunnel last Wednesday night, the Port Authority said.

Joel Estevez, 29, was approaching the tunnel when he got into an argument with the 49-year-old victim near Varick Street and Broome Street around 10:15 p.m., a PAPD spokesman said.

As both men were inside the tunnel and heading toward New Jersey, the hot-headed Estevez leaned out of his window and struck the victim’s 2013 Toyota with the illegal knife, according to a Port Authority official.

The unidentified victim, with damage to his car from the attack, briefly tailed the machete-wielding wacko and jotted down his license plate number before Estevez high-tailed it out of sight and into New Jersey in a 2013 Honda, the Port Authority said.

Port Authority police tracked down and arrested Estevez the following night at his Brooklyn home.

In addition to his weapons and assault charge, the sicko was busted in June 2014 for Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Forcible touching, according to the PAPD.
