Fox drama ‘Rosewood’ gets full-season order

Fox has rewarded its new freshman series “Rosewood” with a full season.

The Wednesday-night drama, starring Morris Chestnut as a crime-fighting pathologist in Miami, is averaging 7.3 million viewers at 8 p.m. Wednesday as the lead-in to Fox’s hit drama “Empire.” It’s also averaging a solid 2.2 in the coveted adults 18-49 demo (once DVR viewership is factored in).

The series co-stars Jaina Lee Ortiz, Lorraine Toussaint, Gabrielle Dennis and Domenick Lombardozzi.

Fox, meanwhile, has ordered six more episodes for its back-to-back Tuesday-night sitcoms “The Grinder” (starring Rob Lowe) and “Grandfathered” (starring John Stamos).
