‘The Bachelorette’ confronts boyfriend over shady breakup rumors

Hell hath no fury like an ex-girlfriend scorned. Or in Robby’s case, his former flame’s BFF.

The Floridian front-runner was forced to address his messy breakup with gal pal JoJo Fletcher on Monday’s episode of “The Bachelorette.” And as one could expect, it didn’t go over smoothly.

After Robby’s mom, Holly, reveals his reputation is being smeared by the roommate of his ex, the athlete comes clean to JoJo about the longstanding rumors he left his longtime love for a shot at reality TV.

“That’s not true by any means,” Robby tells JoJo. “My relationship with Hope was over nine months before it actually ended. I didn’t have the capacity to end it because I thought changes were going to be made. I will never speak to her again, period.”

While JoJo questions whether Robby still harbors feelings for Hope, she ultimately relies on her gut instinct.

“The situation with Robby and his ex-girlfriend has brought out this fear. But Robby has been the most honest and the most real, I think the only thing to do at this point is to trust Robby,” JoJo says.

Though Robby’s hometown date didn’t exactly go as planned, the same could not be said about the days spent with her three other boyfriends.

Kicking off her cross-country road trip in Chase’s home state of Colorado, JoJo gets to know her man of few words. As Chase reveals, he comes from a broken home.

“It is kind of a wall I have and I’m trying as hard as I can to express everything I want for you,” Chase tells JoJo before introducing her to his mom and dad separately.

Despite his initial fears of dropping the L-bomb, Chase finally tells JoJo how he feels after successful meet-and-greets with JoJo and his folks.

“My confidence level with JoJo after tonight is out of this world,” Chase explains in his confessional.

But is it too little, too late, as JoJo’s venture to Chico, Calif., only strengthens her relationship with the polarizing Jordan Rodgers.

And while his parents seem to welcome JoJo with open arms, Jordan’s frosty relationship with brother Aaron becomes an awkward topic of conversation.

“The conversations that I have with your brother Jordan, I can tell that he misses Aaron but doesn’t like talking about it, really,” JoJo tells Jordan’s big brother, Luke.

While Luke doesn’t reveal much, JoJo leaves the Rodgers compound with Jordan taking up a huge chunk in her heart.

That is, until Luke drops a major truth bomb following his family BBQ in Texas.

“Today, you here with me, this is a good daydream,” Luke tells JoJo at sunset. “Literally, every time that I’m with you, my heart gets more and more involved. It blows my mind.”

After the two share a kiss in the countryside, JoJo’s reunion with Luke at an airport hangar ahead of the rose ceremony shakes her to her core.

“I told you at the end of the night my heart is yours, not only did I want to tell you that, but I needed to tell you that, that I am in love with you,” Luke shares to JoJo.

While JoJo appreciates the admission, she’s clearly unable to make a decision as she breaks down crying on the tarmac.

Stay tuned, #BachelorNation. Things are about to get real.
