E! cancels Caitlyn Jenner’s reality show ‘I Am Cait’

Caitlyn Jenner and E! have canceled each other out — at least for now.

Jenner’s reality show, “I Am Cait,” will not return for a third season, she announced on Twitter on Tuesday.

The docuseries starring the Olympic gold medalist — and ex-patriarch of the mixed Kardashian-Jenner clan — documented Jenner’s journey in transitioning from Bruce to Caitlyn.

The series premiered to solid numbers (nearly 3 million viewers) in July 2015 but quickly hemorrhaged its audience — at one point averaging a measly 480,000 viewers for an episode that aired in mid-March (Season 2, which ended at the end of April).

Jenner won’t be off TV entirely, however. E! said in a statement Tuesday that she will appear on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and Jenner will also play herself on the third season of Amazon dramedy “Transparent,” which returns this fall.
