Sugar Factory keeps getting sweeter.
Popularized by celebs like Drake and the Kardashian clan, the chain that offers Giggles Snickers Milkshakes and cocktails in 60-ounce goblets will open a new Sugar Factory Artisanal Doughnut and Coffee Bar at 1991 Broadway this summer — and it is planning a rollout of more of these stand-alone doughnut-coffee bars.
That’s in addition to the 7,000- square-foot Sugar Factory that opened in April at the same address, serving up American bistro fare along with its sweet drinks.
There’s also a three-story Sugar Factory American Brasserie on Washington Street in the Meatpacking District.
The new 3,000-square-foot Upper West Side doughnut bar will offer exclusive Sugar Factory creations, including a cannoli doughnut, specialty pastries, gelato and coffee drinks.
Sugar Factory is also scouting new locations to open in New York, in addition to debuting more stand-alone artisanal doughnut and coffee bars.
The creations come from Sugar Factory’s new corporate pastry chef, Max Santiago, who will also launch a new Sugar Factory bakery in Miami this fall. Called Sugar Factory Patisserie & Gummy World, it will materialize at 507 Española Way.
Santiago is co-founder of The Salty Donut in Miami, and a winner of the Cooking Channel’s “Sugar Showdown.”
