If you doubted the “cool” factor of NFL punters, Brad Wing will make you think again.
The third-year Giant earned major style points Friday when Nicki Minaj gave Wing a personal shoutout in her newly released hit single, “Skrt On Me,” with Calvin Harris.
The rapper drew special attention to the lyrics on her Twitter account Friday.
Wing, an Australian who went undrafted out of LSU in 2013, scored his moment of fame with a video he posted on his Instagram a few weeks ago in honor of the “#NickiMinajChallenge,” a social media craze inspired by Minaj’s viral video three days earlier. Wing took a quote from Minaj’s rant and twisted it into a caption for a six-mile run he documented on his account.
Minaj took notice and promised the 26-year-old a surprise on June 30.

Now that the song is public, Wing is soaking in the his newfound celebrity. Maybe it will even earn him some bragging rights with good friend Odell Beckham Jr.
