Here’s who could replace Graydon Carter at Vanity Fair
With Graydon Carter stepping down, the guessing now begins about whom Condé Nast will pick to replace him. Here’s Media Ink’s bettor’s guide:
Dylan Jones
Jones, 57, is the longtime editor of British GQ. He’s an officer of the Order of the British Empire and is super-connected in London — but it’s a long way from Hollywood. Odds: 5 to 1.
Jim Nelson
Nelson, 54, is close to Condé Nast artistic director Anna Wintour and has been producing GQ since 2003 — and spinning off ventures such as the Will Smith movie project “Concussion” and the soon-to-be-released flick “Only the Brave.” Odds: 4 to 1.
Adam Moss
Moss, 60, has been winning awards by the barrelful since landing at New York magazine in 2004. He did a masterful job amping up digital while cutting print frequency. Odds: 3 to 1
Janice Min
Min, 48, has plenty of LA credentials thanks to her years running The Hollywood Reporter, where she transformed the slumping daily into a glossy weekly and overhauled the website. And don’t forget when she was running Us Weekly, it was selling a million copies a week on newsstands. The favorite. Odds: 2 to 1.
