Attorney General candidate Zephyr Teachout released four years of tax returns on Friday, which showed that she and husband Nicholas Juliusburger took home $289,000 in 2017 and paid $56,000 back to the federal government in taxes.
The couple, who married in 2016, reported making $3,700 in charitable contributions last year.
Teachout’s tax returns also offered a glimpse into the deeply personal, showing that she attempted to adopt a child in 2015, but it didn’t go through.
She claimed a tax credit that year to help cover the expenses.
“I’ve always wanted to raise a child,” said expecting mom, who is almost eight months pregnant.
She told The Post that her family is still interested in growing through adoption.
The Fordham University professor shocked the New York political establishment when she scored a stunning 35 percent of the vote running against Gov. Andrew Cuomo in 2014.
She placed second when running to represent the Hudson Valley in Congress in 2016.
