Pharmacist who stole millions from Medicaid for plastic surgery cops plea deal

A middle-aged Manhattan pharmacist who swiped millions of dollars from Medicaid to fuel her extensive plastic surgery copped a plea deal Friday.

Hin Wong, 50, pleaded guilty in Manhattan Criminal court to first-degree grand larceny for running a massive HIV pill scam.

She agreed to forfeit $3.6 million as part of her plea bargain, which she struck with the office of state Attorney General Letitia James.

Wong also now faces two to six years in prison when sentenced.

Her lawyer, Todd Spodek, got prosecutors to agree to let her keep $100,000 of her frozen assets to use upon her release from prison.

Prosecutors said the crooked pill pusher operated three pharmacies that paid kickbacks to patients who submitted their HIV/AIDS prescriptions, which Medicaid reimburses at $2,000 a month, to them.

Wong then billed Medicaid but never actually doled out the pills, according to the AG’s office.

Her pharmacies billed Medicaid and other insurers for $15 million for the drugs between 2014 and 2017.

The beauty-obsessed pharmacist blew part of her windfall on extensive cosmetic procedures, shopping sprees at Louis Vuitton and Prada and travel, authorities said.
