Missing Missouri teen found dead in back of tractor-trailer

The body of a Missouri teen who vanished while headed to do some odd jobs was found in the back of a tractor-trailer, authorities said.

Jasmine Mills, 17, had been missing for two days when she was found dead Saturday morning in a Kansas City industrial park, the Kansas City Star reported.

She was last seen Thursday going to help a friend throw out trash and clean — but her family said the pal claimed she never arrived.

“She pretty much looked at him like a dad or grandpa kind of figure,” her mother, Deanna Peters, told the newspaper. “I trusted her judgment because she’s known him forever.”

Peters said she reported her daughter missing Friday when the teen didn’t respond to messages on her phone.

Authorities said the teen’s death was suspicious but didn’t release further information about how she died.

“She was happy-go-lucky,” Peters said. “She was sweet, kind, loving, caring and too trusting, obviously.”

Mills’ younger sister, Alex Boll, paid tribute to the teen Saturday on social media.

“You were amazing and I don’t know what I’m going to do without you,” she wrote on Facebook. “I didn’t get to say goodbye.. Or I love you… My last words to you were ‘I’ll see you tomorrow.’ I wish I would have known you were leaving.”
