An electric bike rider was critically injured when he collided with a trash truck in Brooklyn, police said
The e-bike rider was traveling on the sidewalk, north on Third Avenue near 12th Street, when the Sunday evening smash-up happened, police sources said.
The garbage truck, which was traveling in the opposite direction on Third, made a left turn on 12th and collided with the cyclist in the crosswalk, cops said.
The injured cyclist was taken to New York Presbyterian-Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in critical condition, cops said.
Cops did not immediately say who was at fault.
