Texas cop allegedly coerced woman into sex act at traffic stop

A Texas cop was suspended after allegedly sexually assaulting a woman he pulled over for running a stop sign, officials said.

Arcola Police Officer Hector Aaron Ruiz, 24, was arrested Wednesday after the victim reported the alleged incident, according to news station KHOU.

The 23-year-old woman told authorities that Ruiz stopped her on Nov. 16 in Manvel and requested she follow him in her car.

She said the cop brought her to an isolated residential street then coerced her into a sex act, KHOU reported.

He was booked on sexual assault charges Wednesday to jail, where he’s being held on $400,000 bond, officials said.

Arcola Police said Ruiz has been suspended indefinitely without pay and an internal investigation was launched, news station KTRK reported.

“The utter violation of public trust that these allegations represent is heinous and disgraceful,” Fort Bend County District Attorney Brian Middleton said in a statement.
