Two men busted in shooting death of Bronx nightclub DJ Oliver Askia

Two men have been arrested in the shooting death of a 26-year-old DJ in front of a Bronx nightclub, policed said Friday.

Luis Morillo, 18, and Miles Gibson, 20, both of The Bronx, were charged Thursday with murder and criminal possession of a loaded firearm in the Nov. 30 slaying of Oliver Askia outside Krystal Bar & Lounge on University Avenue in Morris Heights.

Askia, who was only found after a hospital canvass of the neighborhood, died of his injuries at Jacobi Medical Center.

His death left his family and friends confused as to what may have prompted his death.

“I’m just confused,” his girlfriend, Sierra Strother, 23, had told The Post. “I don’t know anyone who would want to harm him. He’s never had a fight in his life.”

Police are still investigating the motive for the attack.
