Pharrell drops $30M on Miami mansion for quarantine

Singer, rapper and entrepreneur Pharrell has just bought a $30 million home in Miami, Gimme Shelter can reveal exclusively.

“He had been looking for a while, but he made a move quickly because he wanted to be quarantined there,” a source tells us.

The property, at 700 Casuarina Concourse in Coral Gables, is known as El Palmar. It was originally listed for $45 million in 2018.

The 17,025-square-foot home sits on 3.3 acres and boasts 335 feet of waterfront. The seller was former Univision exec Ray Rodriguez and his wife, Liana.

The residence, where he will spend lockdown under the stay-at-home order that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis implemented on April 1,  features nine bedrooms and 12 bathrooms.

Details include a 2,000-bottle wine cellar, a library, a pub-style bar, a fireplace in the large living room, an elevator and a private staff wing.

Outside, there’s a koi pond, coral rock pathways, a pool, a boat house, and an outdoor kitchen.

Dennis Carvajal of One Sotheby’s International Realty, repped the sellers. He declined to comment. Yvette Rivero, of Mocca Realty, repped Pharrell, who bought through a Delaware company, Casuarina Concourse LLC.

In late March, Pharrell faced backlash for asking fans to donate to hospitals. Twitter users pegged him as tone-deaf, replying that he should donate himself — as well as rally celebrity pals to do the same — instead of asking the public as unemployment spikes. Critics were especially upset that he put out a call for donations as he is selling a swanky house he owns in Beverly Hills for $17 million.
