Video doesn’t appear to show George Floyd resisting arrest as cops claimed

Surveillance video does not appear to show George Floyd, who died after being pinned down by Minneapolis cops, resisting arrest — which police had claimed — in the moments before the deadly encounter.

Floyd, who was black, can be seen on footage from a nearby restaurant Monday complying with cops as he’s led from a vehicle, CBS News reported.

With his hands cuffed behind his back, he appears to be ordered to sit on the ground, which he does, video shows.

The footage contradicts police accounts that Floyd “physically resisted officers” after he exited his vehicle.

Police said they were responding to a report of a “forgery in progress” and were advised that the man appeared to be under the influence.

In viral cellphone footage, Floyd is seen pleading for air as white cop Derek Chauvin pins his knee on his neck.

“I cannot breathe! I cannot breathe!” Floyd yells in the clip taken by a bystander. “Don’t kill me!”

Bystanders can be heard telling police to let him get up, before he goes limp.

Cops said the man appeared to be suffering medical distress and was brought to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he “died a short time later.”

The FBI and Minnesota state authorities are investigating the incident.

Mayor Jacob Frey announced Wednesday that the four cops involved in Floyd’s arrest have all been fired.

“Four responding MPD officers involved in the death of George Floyd have been terminated,” Frey wrote on Twitter. “This is the right call.”
