Chinese man miraculously survives crossbow bolt to chest

A Chinese man miraculously survived being struck in the chest with a crossbow — just a hair away from his heart, according to a report.

Xiao Peng was accidentally shot by the bolt launched from a crossbow set up at his house June 6 in the city of Nanning, Newsflare reported.

Video showed Xiao standing calmly with the bolt lodged in his chest less than half an inch from his heart, as others gathered around him, the outlet said.

He was brought to the hospital, where he underwent an hour-long surgery to remove the arrow, the outlet reported.

Xiao, who is recovering, said he had bought the crossbow and bolt online to play with at home before the accident, according to the report.
