Patrick Mahomes is officially a “#GirlDad.”
On Wednesday, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and fiancée Brittany Matthews announced they are expecting a baby girl, sharing a video from their gender reveal, which also involved their adorable pups.
“Baby Girl,” Matthews captioned the clip on Instagram. “P.s- Yes, my dogs walked down a runway with pink paws for the reveal.”
In the video, the parents-to-be pose in front of a backdrop made up of pink and blue balloons as Silver and Steel Mahomes, the couple’s pitbull and cane corso, walk out onto a white runway with pink pawprints. Mahomes and Matthews, both 25, also fired out pink confetti from a cannon.
Matthews and Mahomes announced last month that they are expecting their first child together. The pair also got engaged at Arrowhead Stadium in early September.
“Mom & Dad, taking a small detour to the wedding,” Matthews posted to Instagram at the time.
Mahomes has marked just a handful of milestones for 2020. In addition to becoming this year’s Super Bowl MVP, he inked the richest contract in sports history over the summer, a 10-year, $503 million extension with the Chiefs.
