Mets hyped by Francisco Lindor trade: ‘We are going to be scary’

It’s not just Mets fans thrilled with Thursday’s blockbuster trade. Their players are over the moon, too.

During The Post’s “Amazin but True” podcast with Jake Brown and Nelson Figueroa, Pete Alonso reached out to Figueroa and texted him: “Holy s–t. We just got one of the most dynamic and electric players in the game. We are going to be scary. LFGM.”

Noah Syndergaard quote-tweeted the Mets’ announcement of the move, and wrote: “Must be a glitch in the Matrix (rubs eyes).”

Marcus Stroman tweeted several times of the move, calling new owner Steve Cohen “a legend,” and so did new catcher James McCann.

SNY analyst Keith Hernandez compared the move to when the team acquired Gary Carter in 1985.

“This to me is just really fantastic — fantastic news,” he said.
