Queens-born actor and comedian Hank Azaria — the iconic voice of “The Simpsons” characters, such as Moe Szyslak, Chief Wiggum and, formerly, Apu — has listed his 19th-century Westchester “country retreat” for $3.25 million.
Azaria, who was briefly married to Helen Hunt, fell in love with the Bedford property at first sight, said listing broker Brian Milton of Compass.
Azaria added renovations, including Italian tiles found in an old church in Rome, to create an “authentic farmhouse quality.”
At the same time, he modernized the home — which was built in 1890 — and added a pool house that “evokes an 18th century barn,” according to the spokesman.
Azaria’s favorite part of the house is the open space in the family room and chef’s kitchen that leads to a two-story sunroom, and new pool and pool house. The five-bedroom, 4½-bathroom home is a roomy 5,384 square feet, and sits on 4 acres.
The grounds include covered patios, gardens and an outdoor kitchen. There’s also a one-bedroom, one-bathroom guest apartment above the heated three-car garage.
