Drake’s crying son Adonis throws a fit, steals Billboard Music Awards

It was all about “beautiful” family — and one cute, caterwauling kid — for Drake as he was named Artist of the Decade at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night.

In fact, the rapper-singer behind a remarkable string of hits — from “Best I Ever Had,” “Find Your Love” and “Hotline Bling” to “God’s Plan,” “In My Feelings” and “Toosie Slide” — had a group of family and friends onstage to present him with the honor outside the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

And then Drake brought out his 3-year-old son, Adonis — rocking blonde cornrows — and handed him the award: “You wanna hold it?”

“The truth is, I’m really bad at taking compliments,” the 34-year-old rapper said in his acceptance remarks as Adonis ducked behind his legs. “I’m really self-conscious about my music, and even if I do a good job I always wonder how I coulda done it better. I rarely celebrate anything.”

Seconds later, the adorably bashful tot — Drake’s son with former porn star Sophie Brussaux — was throwing a full-fledged hissy as he was hauled off stage by his chuckling dad.

News first broke in 2018 that Drake had fathered a child with the adult entertainer. At the time, his rap rival Pusha T released a diss track that claimed Drake had a son — which ultimately led the “Degrassi” alum to confirm Adonis’ existence on his album “Scorpion.”

In his track “Emotionless,” Drake finally fessed up: “I wasn’t hiding my kid from the world / I was hiding the world from my kid.” The lyrics also included, “From empty souls who just wake up and look to debate / Until you’re starin’ at your seed, you could never relate.”

Meanwhile of his staggering musical success, Drake told the Billboards crowd: “To be really honest with you, I don’t quite understand it myself. I just know that I’ve spent an incalculable amount of hours trying to analyze all the things I did wrong. But tonight, for once, I’m sure as hell we did something right. ”

Now Drake — who continues to rock a heart shaved into his head to promote his upcoming album, “Certified Lover Boy” — just needs to drop his next collection of hit bangers.
