Here’s who ‘Jeopardy!’ fans think should be the new host

Who is Ken Jennings?

“Jeopardy!” fans believe the record-setting champion is the correct answer in the search for a permanent host for the iconic game show, a new survey has found.

At least 23 percent of viewers believe that the former contestant should be tapped to take over the gig, according to a OnePoll survey.

Other fan favorites include the show’s executive producer Mike Richards and “Star Trek” actor LeVar Burton, who received 14 percent and 10 percent of the vote, respectively.

Viewers were less enthused about other recent hosts like CNN’s Anderson Cooper, who earned 5 percent of the vote, and Dr. Mehmet Oz, who received 4 percent, according to the survey.

The poll surveyed 1,003 Americans from across the country during the month of July.

The show has been rotating through guest hosts since Alex Trebek died of pancreatic cancer in November.
