The Jake Paul-Conor McGregor drama didn’t take long to start up again

Fresh off his win over Tyron Woodley, a familiar name has emerged on Jake Paul’s radar.

Paul addressed a tweet from Conor McGregor after defeating Woodley in a split decision at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Sunday night. McGregor wrote he was “salivating” just as Paul and Woodley began to square off, but later cryptically tweeted a video of his dinner.

Although it is unclear if McGregor was referring to the Paul-Woodley fight, Paul seemingly believes it wasn’t coincidental.

“We’re on the path to a lot bigger fights, I’m salivating too because I’m just getting warmed up,” Paul said, via MMA Junkie. “Conor McGregor has a lot more to focus on besides me right now.

“I’m five wins in a row, he’s 1-3 in the past four years. So the guy needs to get off his vodka or whatever his brand is, sober up and start to get back in the gym and then we can f—king fight.

“To be honest, no way he hits harder than Woodley. He doesn’t weigh as much as Woodley. He’s shorter than Woodley. I’ve said it before the fight, I think Woodley is a harder fight than him, especially the way he’s going. Conor is going down, I’m going up. Woodley came in game, we’ll see.”

Woodley has already challenged Paul to a rematch, and Paul said he would be up for it if Woodley follows through with getting an “I love Jake Paul” tattoo as was agreed to before Sunday’s fight. Tommy Fury has been waiting to take on the YouTube sensation as well. Though, ESPN.com reported, Paul’s camp was unimpressed with Fury’s win over UFC fighter Anthony Taylor on the undercard.

“He didn’t show himself to be as capable as people think he is,”  Paul’s top adviser, Nakisa Bidarian told ESPN.com of Fury.

“If he’s the boxer that [Paul] has to face, that’s an easy conversation. But it only makes sense for Jake Paul, who is one of the highest-paid fighters in the world, if we think it can drive numbers.”

McGregor suffered a gruesome injury just last month in a bout with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 and is expected to be out of competition for the remainder of 2021.
