Teen fatally shot in parked vehicle in Brooklyn

A teen was fatally shot twice in the chest while sitting in a parked vehicle in Brooklyn early Sunday, cops said.

Police officers went to 796 Greene Ave. in Bedford-Stuyvesant at 2:18 a.m. in response to a ShotSpotter alert, but the mortally wounded 18-year-old man had already been taken to Woodhull Hospital by private means, according to police. He was pronounced dead there a short time later, cops said.

Cops found three shell casings on the scene, police sources said.

Last month, shootings soared in the city in January compared to the same month last year.
