Harry and Meghan snubbed by UK royals despite staying near William and Kate

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are being snubbed by senior members of the royal family — even though they’re staying just a short walk from Harry’s brother, Prince William, with whom he was once tight, according to reports.

The exiled couple touched down for a rare UK trip on Saturday — with Queen Elizabeth II, 96, and Harry’s dad, heir apparent Prince Charles, among those with no plans to see them, according to the Telegraph.

Most notable, however, is William, 40, who lives just half a mile from Frogmore Cottage, the property where Harry is staying with his wife in Windsor, the UK paper said, noting it was a short walk.

William already has trust issues over his brother and sister-in-law’s earlier bombshell interviews — and is worried that any chats they have will be used to further hurt him, Harry’s biographer, Angela Levin, told the Sun.

“They have lost their chance of being trusted as the chance is they will use any conversation,” Levin told the UK paper.

“It’s their own fault for vastly exaggerating and being rude,” she said of the visiting Californian podcasters.

The trust issues make it unlikely that William and his wife, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, will want to see the pair until after the publication of Harry’s memoir and its expected bombshells, she said.

“I think it’s likely that Catherine and William will try to avoid any contact with Harry and Meghan until they know the contents of Harry’s memoirs and their Netflix documentary,” Levin told the Sun.

Harry’s dad and grandmother also have no plans to see the pair, the Telegraph stressed. Charles is currently staying with his mother in her Scottish estate, Balmoral, where the 96-year-old monarch has spent the summer amid ongoing health and mobility concerns.

The trip comes just days after Markle again attacked the royal family during an interview with New York magazine’s The Cut published last Monday.

The duchess on Monday was due to give her first address in the UK since she quit royal life, with a scheduled speech about gender equality at the opening ceremony of the One Young World summit.

“I really don’t think Meghan is the right person to counsel young people,” tweeted Harry’s biographer, Levin.

“I don’t think society needs a load of self-obsessed callous individuals.”
