Puerto Rican singer, actress, dancer and model Jennifer Lopez was born on July 24, 1969 in the Bronx, a borough of New York City, and was rasied by Puerto Rican immigrant parents. Lopez started her infamous career as a back up dancer, daning for MC Hammer, the Spice Girls and Jannet Jackson. Lopez first rise in the limelight when she was casted as the singer Selena Quintanilla-Pérez in the biopic “Selena.”
