AMAs winners 2022: Taylor Swift sweeps with six wins
It was a golden year for the American Music Awards.
The 2022 AMAs celebrated their 50th ceremony, live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles with wildly-suited host Wayne Brady.
Taylor Swift landed the coveted Artist of the Year award and thanked her diehard Swifties for their encouragement. “I found that the more music I made, the more music I put out, the happier I was,” said Swift, fresh off of her ongoing feud with Ticketmaster and issues regarding her upcoming “Eras Tour.”
“I have the fans to thank, essentially, for my happiness,” she declared.
Bad Bunny led the nominees with eight, while Beyoncé, Drake and Taylor Swift had six nods each. Adele, Harry Styles and The Weeknd earned five noms each.
