A new listing in Kansas City, Missouri has made descended upon our planet, and its creative promotional photos are causing quite the stir among Earthlings.
When local real estate investor and current owner Ian Reeves purchased this saucer-shaped property — one that resembles a UFO — about a year ago, he was told it was built by a musician, and not an extraterrestrial.
During an open house this past weekend, a neighbor stopped by and offered him further details.
“The house was originally built in 1968 by Kay Dennis, who was a lounge singer and is still alive,” Reeves told The Post, adding that he then played Dennis’s music during the open house and sent her a Facebook friend request “but it has not been accepted yet.”
Since Dennis’s days at 1118 Queens Place, the hexagonal residence changed hands a few times and fell into what Reeves described as “a pretty serious state of disrepair.”
Reeves, who left a career as a mechanical engineer for a construction company to focus on flipping area houses full-time, did a complete renovation of the three-bedroom abode.
Although “our original intent was to make this an Airbnb,” recent city policies have made that more difficult, “so we decided to sell it,” Reeves added.
The 2,380-square-foot, two-story home is now listed with Noel Jennings and Branigan Barnett of Keller Williams Southland.
It is seeking $349,500.
In advertising the other-worldly compound, the team has leaned into its “launch pad” appeal, enticing potential buyers to “Check out this newly-remodeled spaceship-on-earth!” in the listing.
As well, Reeves instructed the photographer, Samantha Ward, to “get creative with this one,” hence, the final listing images include a digital rendering of an alien being beamed onto the front porch.
In addition to being an ideal space to cosplay as an alien, the address also has wood floors throughout, a living room conversation pit, a terrace and a two-car garage.
