Cops find body after Maryland woman Rachel Morin vanishes on nature trail

Police have discovered a corpse at the same Maryland hiking trail a woman was reported missing on Saturday night.

Rachel Morin, 37, was last seen heading out to the Ma and Pa Trail, in Bel Air, on Saturday at around 6 p.m., according to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office.

After locating Morin’s vehicle on Sunday morning near the entrance of the trail on Williams Street, law enforcement combed the area and found a woman’s dead body at 1:07 p.m.

“The identity of the victim, as well as the cause, and manner of death are still under investigation,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.

Officials said the investigation remains active as officials continue searching the trail and identifying the body recovered at the scene.

The discovery was made just hours after the sheriff’s office described the search for Morin as “very active” when speaking to Fox News.

The sheriff’s office described Morin as a 5’2″, 107-pound woman with blond hair and blue eyes.

She left her home wearing a dark tank top, black sports bra, black spandex shorts, and gray sneakers, officials added.
