Tom Brady celebrates Las Vegas Aces’ WNBA title: ‘On top of the world’

Tom Brady was emotional after winning his eighth ring.

The retired quarterback, who secured seven Super Bowl titles in his prolific 23-season NFL career, celebrated the Las Vegas Aces’ second consecutive championship after they beat the New York Liberty in Game 4 of the WNBA Finals on Wednesday night.

“On top of the world,” Brady, who is a minority owner of the Aces, wrote on his Instagram Story. “So proud of these women and this organization.

“Took everyone’s best shot all year long and never stumbled.”

Brady, 46, then reposted a video from the Aces that showed the team huddled on the floor while Finals MVP, A’ja Wilson broke down in celebratory tears.

Mark Davis, who is the majority owner of the Aces and Las Vegas Raiders, was seen cheering nearby in the clip.

Brady also has an agreement in place to become a minority owner of the Raiders, though NFL owners have yet to approve the deal.

The future Hall-of-Fame quarterback went on to repost each Aces players’ championship portrait, including head coach Becky Hammon.

The Patriots legend was officially approved as a minority owner of the Aces a little more than two weeks before they won their second consecutive title.

“I am very excited to be part of the Las Vegas Aces organization,” Brady said in a statement when the news was announced. “My love for women’s sports began at a young age when I would tag along to all my older sisters’ games. They were by far the best athletes in our house! We celebrated their accomplishments together as a family, and they remain a great inspiration to me.

“I have always been a huge fan of women’s sports, and I admire the work that the Aces’ players, staff, and the WNBA continue to do to grow the sport and empower future generations of athletes. To be able to contribute in any way to that mission as a member of the Aces organization is an incredible honor.”

Las Vegas closed out the series without starting point guard Chelsea Gray and center Kiah Stokes, who were both sidelined with foot injuries suffered in Game 3.

It marked the second straight year the Aces celebrated winning the title on their opponent’s home floor.

Las Vegas won the 2022 WNBA championship in Connecticut last September.

The Aces are planning a championship celebration Oct. 23, according to an announcement on the team’s official Instagram page.
