Scooter-riding NYC bigot punches man, hurls antisemitic vitriol: cops

A scooter-riding bigot punched a 23-year-old man in the face while hurling antisemitic vitriol at him in Brooklyn on Tuesday morning, cops and law-enforcement sources said.

The attacker approached the victim in front of a self-storage facility on Fulton Street near Wyona Street in Cypress Hills around 9:20 a.m. and uttered an unspecified anti-Jewish statement, police and sources said.

He slugged the victim once, leaving him bleeding from the mouth, police said.

The victim called 911 to report the attack, but he was not hospitalized for his injuries, cops said.

The suspect, who took off on the scooter, was still on the loose later in the day.

The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating, sources said.

The disturbing act comes weeks after Hamas’ unprecedented deadly Oct. 7 attack on Israel.

Since then, the Big Apple has seen a spike in hate crimes, with nearly 60% of the heinous acts targeting the Jewish community, an NYPD official said last week.

As of Sunday, a total of 221 anti-Jewish hate crimes had been reported across the city, up one from the same period last year, the latest department numbers show. But overall bias-based crimes are down citywide, with 475 so reported this year and 524 at this point in 2022.

In one recent case, a hateful teen threatened a 9-year-old boy with a knife and yelled, “I will kill you, Jew!” at a playground connected to KIPP AMP Middle School and MS 354 in Crown Heights, police and law enforcement sources said.

The vile attacker also screamed, “Heil, Hitler!” apparently at the young boy’s sister, said his mom, Chaya Sundroy, to The Post last week.

During the attack, several people also shouted, “Allah Akbar!” in front of the children, according to Sundroy and police sources.

No students from the school were involved in the afterhours incident, a rep said.
