Taylor Swift adds Travis Kelce twist at Argentina show: ‘Karma is the guy on the Chiefs’
It was a Swift surprise.
Taylor Swift sang about boyfriend Travis Kelce on Saturday during the second night of her “Eras Tour” stop in Buenos Aires, Argentina, switching up the lyrics to her song “Karma” to include a nod to the Kansas City tight end, who was in the audience.
Instead of singing, “Karma is the guy on the screen, coming straight home to me,” the 33-year-old pop megastar crooned, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me.”
Fans in attendance also caught the moment Kelce — who traveled to South America to spend time with Swift on the Chiefs’ bye week — heard the lyric change as he watched the show with the singer’s dad, Scott Swift.
In a video posted by fans, the 34-year-old Kelce can be seen smiling upon hearing the words as he continued to dance in the VIP tent.
Shortly after the concert concluded, Swift was seen embracing Kelce with a kiss backstage.
One day before the show, Kelce and Swift enjoyed a dinner date as Friday night’s show was canceled due to heavy rains.
Swift and Kelce’s burgeoning romance has continued to captivate headlines ever since they were first linked in September.
The 12-time Grammy winner has supported Kelce at four Chiefs games this season and has gotten chummy with his teammates’ significant others.
Last week, Swift stepped out for a girls’ night in New York, where she was joined by new pal Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Brittany — who even has a special game-day handshake with Swift — later took to Instagram to share pics from the night.
Swift is touring South America through Sunday, Nov. 26.
Kelce and the Chiefs return to action on Monday, Nov. 20, when they’ll host the Eagles in a Super Bowl 2023 rematch.
The Chiefs topped the Eagles in February, 38-25.
