Multimillionaire NY Rep. Dan Goldman owes months of rent on Tribeca pad totaling $180K: suit

New York Democratic Rep. Dan Goldman — heir to the Levi Strauss & Co. fortune and one of the wealthiest members of Congress — has been sued for skipping out on four months of rent on his posh Tribeca pad, new court papers show.

Goldman, 47, and his wife, Corinne Goldman, were named in a two-page summons filed in Manhattan Supreme Court Monday by landlords Jason and Natasha Gilbert, who claim the pol and his spouse owe $180,000 in rent on the 3,818-square-foot luxury condo.

The congressman — whose personal net worth has been pegged at upwards of $253 million — allegedly hasn’t paid the $45,000-a-month rent on the apartment at 60 Collister Street since August, according to the file.

This while he had a lease for the unit that ran through July 31, 2024, the court papers state.

The Gilberts, who own the apartment, also want Goldman to shell out $360,000 to cover the rest of the months in the broken lease, according to Crain’s New York.

The pad — which boasts five bedrooms and as many bathrooms — is now for sale for $14 million and is described as a “recently renovated turn-key penthouse,” per a StreetEasy listing.

The corner penthouse has an additional 1,500-square-feet of outdoor space with a wrap-around terrace that spans the length of the penthouse, according to the listing.

If Goldman doesn’t answer the summons within 20 days the landlords will seek a default judgment against him.

“These allegations are baseless,” said spokesperson Simone Kanter in a statement. “The congressman has always paid his rent on time and in full.”

Goldman — a lawyer and heir of the denim giant — took office in January over New York’s new 10th Congressional District that includes lower Manhattan and parts of southwest Brooklyn.

He was the lead attorney in former President Donald Trump’s first impeachment and has been an outspoken supporter of Israel during the country’s war against Hamas.

Earlier this year, Goldman and Bronx Rep. Ritchie Torres spearheaded efforts to boot Long Island Rep. George Santos from the House by filing an ethics complaint against the since-ousted pol after he admitted to lying about much of his career, educational background and family history.

A lawyer for the Gilberts didn’t return requests for comment.
