Charlamagne tha God wants Biden to deliver the ‘ultimate Christmas gift’ and drop out of 2024 race

Talk show host Charlamagne tha God urged President Biden to deliver the “ultimate Christmas gift” this holiday season and drop out of the 2024 presidential race.

The comedian, who has been critical of the 81-year-old president in the past, made the remarks Wednesday while filling in as the guest host of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show.”

Charlamagne cited Biden’s old age and poor polling for reasons he isn’t the best bet to beat former President Donald Trump, the 2024 GOP presidential primary front-runner.

Biden reportedly admitted at a closed-door fundraiser this week that if Trump weren’t in the race, he isn’t sure he would be running.

But Biden also said this week in response to a reporter’s question, he believes “probably 50” other Democrats could top Trump while also vowing to defeat him himself.

“This is Biden’s ego talking. If you think there are other people who can beat him, step aside,” Charlamagne said in reference to the clip. “I know you think you’ve got this in the bag. I know he thinks he’s got this in the bag but the polls say otherwise.

“I want Biden stepping in to beat Trump the way I want him stepping in to defend me in a bar fight,” he continued. “I appreciate you caring but I don’t like our chances.”

He also compared Biden to the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who the host said should have stepped down from the bench so she could have been replaced by another liberal judge during the Obama administration.

RBG was replaced by conservative Amy Coney Barrett, who was appointed by Trump and confirmed by the US Senate in 2020 after Ginsburg’s death at 87.

“The facts are Biden’s not getting any younger, he’s not gonna get any more popular, he’s not getting a new running mate,” Charlamagne said. “So please Mr. President, give America the ultimate Christmas gift and step aside.”

Earlier this year, Charlamagne said Biden should consider only serving one term.
