I’m a private investigator — here are four dead giveaways your partner is cheating on you

Cheaters never prosper — provided their partners look out for these warning signs.

Now, one experienced private investigator is speaking out about the most common behavioral traits in philanderers that can help you catch a significant other in the act of unfaithfulness.

Sadly, partners who put it about are not uncommon in the slightest.

Research from 2020 showed that 26% of people in relationships had been forced to deal with infidelity in a partner.

On the heels of December 11th, better known as the biggest breakup day of the year, Aaron Bond of Bond Rees Private Investigations sat down to reveal his list of cheating red flags with The Sun.

Here, according to Bond, are the subtle but serious signs of trouble to be keeping an eye out for.

Phone behavior changes

Bond warns that the sudden changing of passwords — among other shady behavior a partner begins to display with their phone — is a common giveaway.

Bond also warns that if he or she “starts taking their phone everywhere with them, even around the house, or they become defensive when you ask to use their phone it could be a sign of them not being faithful.”

“You should also look at how they place their phone down when not in use. If they face the phone with the screen facing down, then they could be hiding something.”

They share less about their day-to-day lives

“If you feel like your partner has suddenly begun to avoid you and they don’t want to do things with you anymore or they stop telling you about their day then this is another red flag,” Bond said. Andrey Popov – stock.adobe.com

It’s another typical trait for adulterous people to change their day-to-day behavior, share less, and even be less inclined to spend time together.

“If you feel like your partner has suddenly begun to avoid you and they don’t want to do things with you anymore or they stop telling you about their day then this is another red flag.”

“Partners often avoid their spouses or tell them less about their day because cheating can be tough, remembering all of your lies is impossible and it’s an easy way to get caught out.”

A diminished or heightened sex drive

If your partner is no longer in the mood as much as before, it may have nothing to do with you, according to the PI. Or, they could suddenly be insatiable — in an attempt to mask their misdeeds.

“Cheaters often have less sex at home because they are cheating, but on occasions, they may also have more sex at home, this is because they feel guilty. [They] use this increase in sex to hide their cheating.”

“You may also find that your partner will start to introduce new things into your sex life that weren’t there before.”

An abundance of negativity

The tension and stresses of carrying on with unfaithful acts often result in cheaters lashing out at their partners, according to Bond.

“To get rid of the tension they feel inside, they will try to convince themselves that you are the problem and they will become critical of you out of nowhere,” he said.

“Maybe you haven’t walked the dog that day, put the dishes away or read a book to your children before bedtime…A small problem like this can now feel like a big deal. If you experience this your partner could be cheating.”
