When Yankees, Mets fans will get first up-close look at Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Shohei Ohtani

The Yankees and Mets fans will likely get an up-close look at Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Shohei Ohtani when the Dodgers visit New York next season.

Will they be cheering, booing or both?

Mets fans will get the first look at the two Japanese stars when the Dodgers travel to Citi Field to face the Amazin’s from May 27-29.

The Yankees will host the Dodgers in The Bronx from June 7-9.

Even though Ohtani will be limited to the plate and not be pitching after undergoing elbow surgery, both the Mets and Yankees will get a close look at two star players they missed out on.

Yamamoto, who was heavily recruited by the Yankees and Mets, reached a record contract agreement with the Dodgers on Thursday.

The deal for Yamamoto is for 12 years and $325 million and contains a $50 million signing bonus, according to The Post’s Jon Heyman.

The contract surpasses the total value of Gerrit Cole’s then-record $324 million, but is three years longer.

The Yankees and Mets also lost out on Ohtani, but that was more expected.

The two-way Japanese star was signed to a huge 10-year, $700 million contract a couple of weeks ago.

The deal will only earn Ohtani $2 million a year over the length of the deal, while $68 million will be deferred each season — which reduces the overall value of the contract to $460 million, according to Major League Baseball’s valuations.

Ohtani reportedly did give the Angels a final shot to retain him, but owner Artie Moreno decided to move on.
